Advertorial: Rosewood realtor returns as regional property market heats up

KNOWING someone trustworthy, an insider in the real estate business is what’s helped millions of Australians find their happy ever afters.

It’s a road most people travel down … buying a home, an investment property or a block of land.

Your insider is Gary Waters of Waters Property.

Gary understands the local area because he is a local.

His ancestors moved to Ipswich in 1855 and to Lanefield in 1861, so that was the start of his family history.

“My family name means everything to me, that’s why I’ve called my business Waters Property,” Gary said.

“I carry the weight of expectation to do the right thing by my father as he did for his.

“The Waters name means something here and I’m going to ensure I uphold it to the highest standard.”

It is not just good old fashion values Gary is spruiking, he knows the local property market inside and out.

He’s also had experience in ‘all things property’ through a 35 year career in and around Brisbane.

This gave the ‘Rosewood old boy’ diverse experience in the property industry.

He is experienced in valuations, investment sales, commercial leasing, commercial property management, development management, and residential, commercial and project management.

Gary now brings all this knowledge and experience home to Rosewood.

“I love the area and its people,” he said.

“My grandfather’s property sold in 2020, which was a devastating blow to the family legacy.

“I made the decision to bring my family back to the area to keep the family history growing.

“I love the area and its people, our Waters family have deep roots here and it’s where I feel most at home.”

Coming home to Rosewood is made sweeter because he brings with him two ‘roses’ of his own.

“We are a young family, I have two daughters, Sophie is four and Georgia is six,” he said.

“I want them to have an upbringing similar to mine, one spent in the openness and freedom country living offers.

“Rosewood is also the perfect place to grow from because it’s a country town but close to Ipswich and Brisbane.

“I see the value of getting into the property market here and want to share that with others.”

Living closer to his parents also made it easier for his girls to see their grandparents.

“My parents still live on their working cattle 80-acre property at Lanefield,” he said.

“Dad worked at the Rosewood sawmill for more than 20 years and I still recall walking down the streets with him, we could never get far without people stopping to say hello.

“I’m Barry Waters’ son, and I bear the name with pride.

“Waters Property carries the weight of our family’s history on its shoulders and I’m going to make them proud.”
