You know, I’m afraid of getting old!
Well, what could I say?
Except, of what I was once told!
You don’t get old, you know,
You just become more experienced.
As through the years you go!
Well, that puts a different slant on things.
I would have to say!
So, just relax, and enjoy each day!
Thanks for that advice, he said.
It puts a spring in my step,
And reason to live, in my head!
Don’t stop, don’t retire,
Retire as you go,
Make the most of your life, and enjoy the show!
We don’t have to give up, and fall off the tree.
There is so much to do, for you and me!
Don’t be afraid of growing old.
