HUNDREDS of trees will be planted along Rosewood streets as part of the Beautiful Ipswich program run by the Council.
The planting plans for John, Matthew, Albert and School streets were sparked by a query from a resident to Cr Kate Kunzelmann.
It was a query which led her to team up with Cr Russell Milligan in advocating for a ‘greening’ of the town.
Cr Milligan said the program aimed to brighten up areas within some of Ipswich’s older and more established suburbs.
“The program will see Red Cottonwoods, Water Gums, Jerilderie Red and Blueberry Ash trees planted which will make a spectacular difference to some of the main streets of Rosewood.”
