CABANDA Social Group is calling on skilled volunteers who would like to share their skills, knowledge and creativity with their clients and residents.
Social Group Diversional Therapist Nicholie Patterson said that skilled volunteers can be referred to in many different ways.
“When we say skilled volunteers, we are referring to members of the community with a skill base or passion in areas such as painting, cooking, sewing, music, craft, scrapbooking, gardening, fancy work, poetry, folk art or wood etching,” she said.
“We are also looking for a volunteer bus driver to assist with our social group program.
“To ensure our clients experience these valued activities we would need the volunteers to be available to attend our group either as a one off or on a regular basis to share their skills.
“We are also eager to hear from somebody who has a Light Rigid or Heavy Rigid licence who may be keen on supporting our program by providing a pickup service for our clients, a police check would be required for this position.”
