AFTER 15 years of service to the St Brigid’s Catholic school tuckshop, Andrea Bramwell, farewelled the school community, last Friday.
Andrea volunteered to work in the tuckshop when her two oldest children Tylar and Abby started school and remained as a volunteer through the primary school years of her youngest child, Liam, who is now in his final year.
“It has been a really rewarding time volunteering in the tuckshop and I have really enjoyed serving food to the children,” she said.
“Just seeing the smiles on the children’s faces means so much, they are always so happy when they come to greet me at the tuckshop window.
“Over the years I have catered for special occasions and events such as sports days, and carnivals and these events have been a fun way to be a part of the school community.”
Andrea says she has watched children grow through their schooling journey from Prep to their final year.
“Being part of the school family is something that I will cherish, I will miss the children, my fellow volunteers and the school staff and parents,” she said.
“The next chapter now involves taking some time off for myself before I start looking for what I will be taking part in next.”
Andrea was congratulated on her dedication to the school and was presented with flowers and a card at the school’s assembly.
