HAIGSLEA State School celebrated a one-time event on Tuesday, February 22, naming it Palindrome Day.
A Palindrome is a word or a phrase or a sequence of words that reads the same backwards as forwards.
Tuesday, February 22 was in effect a Palindrome – it was the 22nd day on the 2nd month in the year 2022.
To mark the day, students and teachers at Haigslea made special hats and took part in games.
“Not only was this day a Palindrome because it read the same forwards and backwards but it also read in all twos,” school Principal Emily Robinson said.
“Students enjoyed wearing their special hats as they participated in all sorts of activities that were all organised around the number two.”
