THE St Brigid’s Catholic Primary school community dressed in green on Thursday to celebrate the history and significance of St Patricks Day.
According to long held tradition, wearing green will make you invisible to Leprechauns, who like to pinch anyone that they can see, it is also thought that wearing green will bring you good luck, while other families wear green simply to celebrate their Irish ancestry.
Whatever the reason, Principal Duane Wann encouraged his students and teaching staff to wear charms, accessories and clothing all in green for the day while they enjoyed stories and talked about the tradition.
