Poetry Corner – A Mystery

Don’t dwell on what has gone.

Dwell on what is!

Learn from the past,

But, you can’t go back from there,

Make the most of what you have today,

Because it will go fast!

Keep a scrapbook in your mind,

Of precious images, of times gone by,

Images, of things we can no longer find.

We only have today,

Yesterday is now history,

Tomorrow, is still a mystery!

And that mystery, can fill our minds with excitement,

So, don’t give up hope,

And waste time on resentment!

Build your future on a solid rock,

Not upon shifting sand.

Focus upon your dreams, not on the clock.

To dwell on what has gone,

Is only a waste of time.

Learn from the past, yours and mine.
