Respect …
This is what is lacking today,
Is what my friend had to say!
Respect, for truth and each other,
And, especially for Father and Mother!
Something, which must start in the home.
An important element from day one, not the phone!
Parents need to be aware of how the child grows,
To be responsible for them, at all times.
And to know, where each one goes.
Do you know where they are,
Are you sure, they are not out stealing a car?
How does a twelve or fourteen year old child?
Become a thief, and steal a car?
Instruction, must start at home,
Not from afar!
To travel on a train with high school students,
Can be quite an experience.
Lack of respect for others, especially the elderly,
Makes you shake your head, and wince!
Whatever happened to respect for uniform.
And the old school tie.
Is that something of the past, a time gone by?
It is not the role of the police, or school teacher,
To teach, what must be taught at home!
Do you understand, please turn off that phone!
