Rosewood Show Ball success

MORE than 200 people dressed in glamourous gowns, suit and tie … danced the night away at the 2023 Rosewood Show Ball on Saturday night.

The dance hall came to life with music performed by the Let’s Dance Band.

The winners in each of the Show Ball categories were Tiny Tots Princess Macie-Ann Hansen, Tiny Tots Prince Ace Geddes, Junior Princess Zoe Lewis, Junior Prince Ryan Lewis, Show Princess Latisha Kennedy and Show Prince Paul Kennedy.

Mikayla Lenihan was sashed as the Show Queen, James Lewis was selected as the Best Dressed Male, Lahtasha Lewis as the Junior Show Matron and Colleen Moloney was sashed as Show Matron.

Lucy Bond was judged as the Rosewood Showgirl and Courtney Reberger was selected as the Rosewood Rural Ambassador.

Lucy and Courtney will now go on to represent the Rosewood Show Society in the West Moreton and Brisbane Valley Sub Chamber Regional competition.

Judges on the night were Shelley Doyle and Angela and Geoff Hamilton

Shelley said it was an “absolute pleasure” to judge alongside Angela and Geoff.

“What a night, it was fantastic, everybody who attended went above and beyond with their gowns and their suits, and each person needs to be commended for making such a great effort,” she said.

“Congratulations to Showgirl Lucy Bond and Rural Ambassador Courtney Reberger.

“The Rosewood Show Society have two beautiful ladies representing their society, and I wish them all the very best throughout their future endeavours.

“Also, congratulations to Rosewood Show Society President Pat Lenihan and to the Rosewood show committee, you have all worked so hard to bring the show ball to life, and it was an enjoyable night.”

Society President Pat Lenihan was welcomed with a show of appreciation by all in attendance on what was described as a successful night.

“I want to thank our small committee for organising the show ball, it is a huge job, with a lot of work behind the scenes,” he said.

“Thank you to all families who joined us for the ball, and our society are now really looking forward to seeing everyone at the show.”
