Team spirit on the sporting oval

HAIGSLEA State School students took part in their annual sports day last week.

And House teams Warrego and Moreton were competing for the house trophy.

Health and Physical Education teacher Mrs Hines said the competition scores were close, with all children “displaying wonderful sportsmanship throughout the day”.

“Warrego took home the win and Year 5 student Harper Crowden was awarded the Downie Wieland Sportsmanship Award, she said.

“And the age champions were congratulated for their efforts.”
