An entertainment bonanza at this year’s Rosewood Show

A HUGE line up of entertainment at this year’s Rosewood Show is sure to delight all ages as from morning into the night, there will be something for everyone.

Entertainment organiser Cassie Seppanen said the Show committee had all areas of top-class entertainment covered.

The Rosewood Bull Ride on Friday will be the first of the big Show features.

“The bull ride is an event that brings the community together.

“The atmosphere is both friendly and electric – the bucking bulls, the show of pure talent by the bull riders, the excitement of the crowd – it is not to be missed.”

Saturday is the main show day and again there’s a bright array of entertainment including all the crowd favourites.

“One of those favourites is the pig racing event – the pigs are dressed up and introduced to the crowd before they jump at the word ‘Go’, to race through obstacles with the winner taking the prize,” Cassie said.

“Families are encouraged to name their favourite pig, and cheer them on from the sideline.

“It’s lots of fun and the races are scheduled to be run numerous times throughout the day.

“Also we will have an animal nursery and children will have the opportunity to brush and feed the animals. It’s a close-up experience that is sure to put smiles on faces.”

Making up a high percent of the entertainment is the showmanship and the talent of animals, and putting these strengths to the real test will be the dog jumping that will take place in the main arena.

“The dog jumping event is something that you simply cannot miss, it is a demonstration of the connection with dog and owner and a competition that brings families to their feet as each dog jumps to their best ability,” she said.

“Each dog and owner, will work together to complete the jump which if successful keeps getting raised until a winner is found.”

A true headline act is the Rooftop Express which involves one of the best displays of equine entertainment and education, combined with world class stunts.

“Rooftop Express is sure to get all hearts racing, through galloping hooves, whip cracking, comedy and hair-raising stunts that take place around an interesting story line and show,” Cassie said.

“The Rooftop Express will be followed by a demonstration of quality horsemanship with the Dash for Cash Cut-out competition.”

Then it’s time to relax to the unique sound and melodies of rocking country duo, Band 33B, who are well known across Australia.

Side show alley, market and show bag stalls, rides and food vans will be open all day alongside the Show Bar, the perfect place to check in with friends for a cold one, and to catch up on all of the excitement at this year’s show.
