Taking the next steps into the Kokoda Foundation Challenge, students from Rosewood State High school have joined together to complete track maintenance at Spicers Hidden Vale.
Rosewood State High School Student Wellbeing Youth Worker Cassie Ewings, said that the walking tracks at Spicers were utilised by the students during previous hike challenges.
“As a way to say thank you to Spicers for allowing the Kokoda family to use the walking tracks, the students returned to take part in cleaning up and maintaining the tracks,” she said.
“Works included clearing rocks, branches and leaves from the mountain bike paths for an upcoming competition that will take place.
“A sausage sizzle, that was kindly supplied by group leader, Dom Shelley was enjoyed, and all of the students demonstrated great behaviour whilst they all put in top effort.”
