Teenager in stolen car
On December 27, at around 2.50am a black Nissan Navara was seen driving recklessly within the carpark of a local licenced establishment. The vehicle left the address and was intercepted by police. Later checks revealed the driver was a 15-year-old female and that the vehicle was stolen from an Ipswich address.
Garage door rammed
On December 30, at around 8.30pm an unknown silver vehicle was seen entering the Rosewood Green Estate.
Moments later, at an address on Mary Cresent, the unknown vehicle was witnessed driving up a driveway and ramming the garage door. Extensive damage was caused to the garage door which hit a parked vehicle inside and caused the vehicle to smash into the adjoining wall.
Police have conducted inquires with neighbours which revealed that the vehicle was a small silver hatch similar to a Mazda 2 which had what appeared to be a pizza delivery sign attached to the roof.
Constable Scott Muscat said that inquiries have failed to locate the nominated vehicle and police seek assistance from members of the public.
“Police would like to thank members of the public for remaining vigilant in regard to their personal and property safety,” he said.
“Calls for service in relation to property thefts have declined in the recent weeks which is great given that it is currently school holidays and lots of people are around.”
