How you teach your child,
From the beginning,
Will determine their chances of losing or winning.
Today, may be their first day at school,
But good instruction should have begun long before this,
Education is not a game of hit or miss!
Train up a child in the way, he should go,
And when he is older, he will not depart from it.
A child needs to be taught how to think,
Not just a product of regurgitation,
Wouldn’t you agree that this is so?
Yet, it is a joint operation between the teacher and you,
To determine the end result twelve years later,
So, plan well and stay cool!
Today is the start of a long journey for both of you,
So, as you dry your eyes and wave goodbye,
Make wise decisions in whatever you do!
You will be amazed at how time moves fast,
What is now the beginning will end up being
Times past,
The future now depends on what you do!
