Rosewood school gets welcome funding

ST BRIGID’S school has received $208,000 government funding for its outside school hours care service.

Federal Member for Blair Shayne Neumann said the Federal program helped these vital services to stay open in regional and remote areas.

The funding is provided through the Government’s Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) and was aimed at addressing barriers to participation in early childhood education and care.

“We’re ensuring children in Blair are able to access the transformational benefits of early childhood education and care,” Mr Neumann said.

“More than one million families across Australia are benefiting from our Cheaper Child Care reforms, including 8,900 families in Blair.”

More than 380 services have received offers of support to help stay open, with 90 services receiving capital support for modification work or to expand to create more early childhood education and care places.

The more than $600 million CCCF program supports around 700 services across Australia, with around 85 percent of funding supporting services in regional and remote communities.
