Bucking bulls star in the Rosewood arena

BUCKING bulls will kick off tonight as the first burst of entertainment to open this year’s Rosewood Show.

Hosted by the Rosewood Show Society and run by the Hall family, tickets to the Bull Ride will be available for purchase at the gate.

The Bull Ride is one of the headlining attractions of the show, and across a range of categories will showcase some of the best bull riders.

Show Society President Pat Lenihan said to make sure you have the opportunity to be part of this popular event, tickets are still available to purchase now or at the gate.

“As the gates open, it’s all excitement.

“Last year we had a record crowd and we expect the same turn out again this year, so be sure to get your seat fast.”

Pat promises the Bull Ride will impress.

“Visitors and residents will be in for a really great time, from start to finish, the action is highly entertaining, from bucking bulls, to entertainment from the Hall family and all involved … it is action galore.

“Arrive early to be assured a good seat, close to all of the action, there will be a grandstand, though it will be a good idea to bring your own seat.”

There is plenty to cheer about at this event as the calibre of professional cowboys and local talent is first class, plus there will be food and drinks available – just like the rest of the Show – there’s something for the whole family.

“Rosewood has always loved a good rodeo – it really is a good night out, and a positive way to start our annual Show,” he said.

“The riders are seasoned professionals who train hard.”

There will be an open bull ride, a junior bull ride and a novice bull ride. To score points towards a win, each competitor must hold on for eight seconds.

“There’s not just the bulls and the riders, there’s also the popular rodeo protection bull fighters – they protect the riders and add to the rodeo atmosphere.

“Don’t miss the action … I’m looking forward to seeing you there!”
