Mt Marrow takes home the win in cross country

Students from Haigslea, Mount Marrow, Ashwell and Marburg State Schools took to the track to take part in the annual small school’s cross country competition.

Haigslea State School Principal Emily Robinson said the event was a great day where all of the small schools in the area came together for a fun day on the track.

“Students gave it their all, right to the finish line, with school staff and families cheering them on and encouraging them throughout the race,” she said.

“Excellent sportsmanship and team spirit were displayed throughout the day.

“After an active day, the points were added, resulting in Mount Marrow School taking home the win with 109 points.”
