Green thumbs and free trees

LOCAL residents swapped their Council rates notices for free plants to add to their gardens and outdoor spaces last Saturday.

This free tree plant program is arranged by the Ipswich City Council at the Johnson Park carpark in Rosewood to assist and encourage residents to develop a greener environment.

The plant species were selected to suit the local climate and soil conditions and were propagated and grown in the Council production nursery.
