Market co-ordinator nominated for award

CHANTEL Jackson was nominated for the 2023 Heart of Women Award, “for her dedication to the success of local markets and their vendors”.

The award recognises women who make a difference with great intentions that “truly come from the heart”.

Chantel was nominated in four categories: Woman of the Year; Entrepreneur of the Year, the Making A Difference Award and the Big Idea Award.

She wasn’t selected as a finalist, but said she was honored to be nominated.

“I hold a total of 30 years of experience with markets and events,” she said.

“As a child of stallholders, and a stallholder myself I was involved in the organisation and the establishment of the now popular Mulgowie farmer’s market.

“I have assisted many stallholders, small businesses and markets across South East Queensland.”

Chantel currently runs the Walloon and Plainland Markets.
