Rosewood Show

Rosewood Police would like to remind everyone that the Rosewood Show will be going ahead this year and if the recent Boonah Show was an indicator of the likely attendance, then we can expect larger than usual crowds.

Police encourage families to please be patient with traffic congestion and to also be aware that officers from the Highway Patrol and Tactical Crime Squad will be in attendance to ensure anti-social behaviours and traffic offences are dealt with.

Crime

At some point between May 14 and May 24, a white 2011 Ford Ranger was stolen from the Willowbank Motocross Park on Coopers Road, Ebenezer.

It is suspected that the vehicle is now bearing false plates and has been used in further offences in the Fernvale and Gatton areas.

Police are appealing to witnesses who have seen a vehicle matching that description, acting suspiciously to contact Crimestoppers.

Search warrant

On May 25, Rosewood Police executed a search warrant at an Ebenezer address in relation to weapons and as a result Police located ammunition, cannabis and utensils.

An Ebenezer man, 22, was charged with possession of drugs and utensils and was issued a Notice to Appear in the Ipswich Magistrates.

An Ebenezer man, 30, was also dealt with by way of a Drug Diversion program.

In court

After an investigation into the fraudulent forgery of medical certificates related to Covid-19, Rosewood Police have charged a 43-year-old Walloon woman.

Police will allege that the woman forged and presented false medical certificates to her employer in an effort to gain an advantage.

The woman was charged with forgery and uttering a forged document and will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates court.
