MOUNT Marrow State School community banded together in support of the World’s Greatest Shave and raised $1,041 for the cause.
Principal Emma McBain said it was a great achievement for a school of only 64 students.
“Students attended the school with their hair coloured and styled in all sorts of crazy creations,” she said.
“As part of the fun and awareness of this day, the staff also participated by agreeing to have their hair transformed into different styles by the students.”
Ms McBain had agreed to have her hair shaved if $1,000 was raised and because this goal was achieved, she will be following up this promise soon.
