Isabella is Rosewood Lion’s Youth of the Year

FAITH Lutheran College student Isabella Molinaro was selected as the Rosewood Lions Youth of the Year at a competition and presentation night which was held last Wednesday in the Rosewood State School hall.

The two nominees were Faith Lutheran College students Seth Crothall and Isabella Molinaro who answered impromptu questions and gave a prepared speech in front of a panel of independent judges.

Competitors in the quest can achieve a point score of up to 100. These are awarded for initiatives taken at school, out of school, through school academic achievements and general knowledge and for their individual presentations at competition and presentation night.

Following her selection as the local Lions Youth of the Year, Isabella will compete in the regional competition on March 12

Isabella said she had been involved in many co-curricular school activities including Shave for a Cure, the International Women’s Day, the Student Council and many other activities to do with her Year 12 leadership duties.

“I have been awarded with Principal Awards, Gold Excellence Awards with the Parish, Academic Awards, Service Awards and various other awards throughout my schooling years,” she said.

“Sport is a big part of my life. I enjoy soccer and football, running, keeping fit and trying to keep healthy.

“Photography, volunteering, helping others, spending time with my peers, family and friends are also very important things in my life.

“I am really excited to have won the title of Rosewood Lions Youth of the Year and I look forward to competing in the Regional level at Rosewood next month.”
