The Coppers Log

ROSEWOOD Station is back to full strength after the Covid pandemic that recently affected staffing numbers and the opening hours of the station with several members requiring periods of isolation.

We appreciate patience shown through this period and are happy to announce that we are now back to full operating strength and opening hours have returned to normal.

In court

As a result of the ongoing traffic offence Operation Mistletoe, Rosewood Police and Ipswich Highway Patrol issued Notices to Appear to 15 drivers during the month of January for assorted offences including drink driving, drug driving, unlicenced driving and hooning.

A further 31 traffic infringement notices were issued.

Operation Mistletoe will continue for the remainder of the school holiday period in order to keep our roads safe.

Appeal for witnesses

Rosewood and Marburg Police are appealing for witnesses to a number of recent burglaries and vehicle thefts which have occurred in the Walloon and Rosewood areas.

During the early hours of January 22, a white Holden Crewman SS was stolen from the front yard of an Azure Street Rosewood home. The vehicle was inoperable and as such must have been towed from the address.

On January 31, a white Nissan Navara utility was stolen from a Kisslings Road, Minden address and soon after a burglary was committed at a property at Greet Road, The Bluff. At both of these offences a black Holden Commodore sedan was sighted with several young male occupants.

Police are urging anyone with information regarding these offences or sightings of a black Holden Commodore with suspicious occupants to contact Crimestoppers or Policelink on 131 444.

Changed Covid restrictions

Police are asking residents to please stay abreast of the ever-evolving Covid restrictions by reading the Queensland Health website.

Masks must be worn indoors everywhere in Queensland, except in your own home or accommodation, and where it is unsafe, such as while doing strenuous exercise.

You do not need to wear a mask outdoors if you can remain 1.5 metres away from others who are not members of your household.

Children under 12 years and people affected by a medical condition or disability do not lawfully have to wear a face mask. (See exceptions from wearing face masks on the website).

Covid Check In App

Rosewood Station has a check in code at the door. Anyone attending the Station is requested to check in as per normal guidelines.
