Tea cosies and aprons on display at the Rosewood CWA

MEMBERS from the Rosewood Country Women’s Association and the West Moreton Division put on their aprons to bake classic recipes to serve with tea and coffee at their tea cosies and apron display last weekend.

The display which was made up of numerous handmade knits, crafts, tea cosies and aprons added colour to the CWA building bringing back what the ladies at the CWA are all about.

Rosewood CWA International Officer Gaylene Stack said that the items were made by members of the community, members from the Rosewood CWA and members from the CWA West Moreton Division.

“The whole aim of the two day display was to open up our doors to invite families in for a chat while they had a look through the displays and shared scones, cakes and other treats that the CWA members had made,” she said.

“Cakes, slices, plants, books and other handmade crafts were among some of the items that we had for sale on our market stall, and all proceeds went to our local CWA branch.

“It was nice to be able to hold a small event at our hall again and we hope to hold it again to not only help with our fundraising but to also show the community what our CWA branch is all about.”
