Covid restrictions       

While the State Government continues to ease restrictions in the 11 Local Government Areas which includes Rosewood township, please be mindful that we are all subject of continued restrictions at the present time.

Rosewood Police have received several reports of businesses within the area not complying with the mask mandate and have investigated these.

Rosewood Police have been enforcing the current restrictions which were put in place to ensure the safety of all Queenslanders.

Traffic crash

Police were called to single vehicle traffic crash that occurred on the Rosewood-Laidley Road at around 7.50am, last Thursday.

Initial investigations reveal the sole male occupant lost control of his vehicle while travelling along the road and collided with a drainpipe. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest.

The driver was transported to the Ipswich General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigations into the cause are continuing.

Rosewood Crime

On Wednesday, August 25, Rosewood Police conducted a joint operation with officers from Marburg, Boonah and Harrisville stations along with the Ipswich Crime and Investigations Branch and Road Policing Unit.

A series of search warrants were executed in the Rosewood area resulting in the arrest of three people.

A Rosewood woman, 33, and an East Ipswich man, 31, will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on drug related offences.

Additionally, five traffic infringement notices were issued and one drink driver was arrested.

Rosewood Station Administration Officer Katie Wickman is currently on secondment to the Ipswich District Office. While Katie is away, Sue Duffy from the Ipswich Station will be relieving in Katie’s position.
