An additional $5.26 million locked in for road rehabilitation and resurfacing

ROAD rehabilitation and resurfacing works worth $5.26 million have been promised for the district by the Ipswich City Council.

Roads in Rosewood, Walloon, Marburg and Thagoona will be upgraded to the tune of $1.63 million, while $3.63 million has been allocated for longer-term upgrades for culvert replacement and road pavement reconstruction on Adelong Avenue, Thagoona.

Initial works are expected to take place in Thagoona on Banyula Road, Carara Avenue, Kanandah Court, Kipara Road and Thagoona – Haigslea Road.

Works will also be undertaken on Yarrow Road in Rosewood and on Edmond Street, Marburg and Brushbox Place, Kennedy Street, Lawrence Street and Sharp Lane in Walloon.
