A DONATION was made to the Domestic Violence Women’s Shelter in Ipswich by the Rosewood Rustic Yoga Group in a ‘pay it forward’ gesture
Chris Rinehart said the yoga group came up with the idea to raise money after they enjoyed a lunch at one of the members houses.
“One of our members put on a large spread of food for us all to enjoy,” she explained.
“We were overwhelmed by the trouble that was put into the food so we all decided to put some money into a bowl and pay it forward to the shelter.
“This is the first time we have raised money as a group to do something like this and we are very pleased to be able to make a difference.”
The impromptu fundraiser raised $120 for the shelter.
Each week after the ladies participate in their yoga session, they set off to share their passion in supporting local business by purchasing a morning tea or lunch together.
