Open invitation to Rosewood Kindy open day

THE Rosewood and District Community Kindergarten are offering an invitation to all families to their Open Day to learn about and discover the opportunities that the facility has to offer.

Group One teacher at the Kindergarten, Debbie Brown, said the kindergarten still has vacancies for 2022 and a waiting list for future years.

“The kindergarten’s philosophy is based on the belief that early childhood is a critical learning period in children’s lives and that play is the essential learning vehicle to explore, problem solve, develop friendships, imagine and extend capabilities,” she said.

“We recognise that this is best achieved in a natural environment supported by parents, educators and our local community with a well-established community focused centre which provides children with excellent facilities for their early education.”

The kindergarten features a huge shady backyard playground and garden area, a focus on sustainability and a commitment to the First Nations people.

Group Two teacher, Linda Beale, said the teachers are dedicated long term educators who are rated as exceeding the National Quality Standard in 2020.

“In an inclusive environment, our educators work closely with families, specialists and agencies to support access and participation for all children,” she said.

“Guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline that empowers children to learn through play in a stimulating indoor and outdoor environment.

“It is important for us to know what is unique to your child to feel welcome, safe and able to participate.

“Our Open Day is the perfect opportunity to explore our learning spaces with your child and the kindy will be set up just like a normal day where children can experience firsthand the play areas, both inside and out.

The kindergarten looks forward to meeting new and existing families for the 2022 year and beyond as the teachers are eager to show off their facility for the first stages of your children’s learning journey.
