Community concerns raised with Blair MP

BLAIR MP Shayne Neumann wants to spread a message to families within the community to come forward to ask for assistance and to work with all levels of government for help and guidance.

Mr Neumann said that he has being sharing information regarding this support at his mobile offices in the area.

“I really enjoy participating in my mobile offices, because it gives me an opportunity to interact with people and to find out what is going on in the area,” he said.

“Some of the main topics that I have spoken to families about is the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on people’s everyday life, work, schooling and events.

“Community members and organisations need to know their entitlements and I am here to help them with accessing grants and funds to assist them with any projects or support that they may need.

“Vaccination was also a popular topic with people raising concerns about what vaccine would be best for them, my recommendation was to talk to their local General Practitioner and to get vaccinated.

“Business owners also came forward to discuss the impact of lockdowns and restrictions and families spoke about Centrelink issues.”

Mr Neumann said he was confronted with many issues.

“Even though we are still faced with some Covid restrictions, seeing events go ahead and people out socialising again is a positive step forward.”
