THE Rosewood Lions have donated club shirts to the Rosewood Rays Swimming Club members.
Rosewood Rays Secretary Linda Boughton said she approached the Lions about the cost of purchasing club shirts for all of the swim club members.
“I had heard that the Lions often helps local community groups so I thought I would approach them, to talk to them about our club shirts,” she said.
“Our club is made up of children and adults who come together each week to compete and to have fun in the pool.
“The addition of club shirts is a great way of making all our swimmers feel like a team and by wearing them out in the public they look quite professional.”
After Linda approached the Lions, she received a phone call and was told that the Lions would cover all costs in regard to the shirts.
“I was absolutely taken aback and felt very happy with the kindness and support that the Lions offered.
“They really are a great group of caring individuals and the swim club family is very thankful.”
