RESIDENTS enjoyed free coffee and conversation with Rosewood OIC Sgt Travis Ehrich, volunteers and members of the Queensland Police Service (QPS), Ipswich West MP Jim Madden, Cr Russell Milligan and members from the Booyah Bean team on Saturday in the Rosewood Drakes carpark.
Project Booyah is a QPS youth mentoring program and the team served coffee and enjoyed talking with the community members who dropped by.
Ipswich West MP Jim Madden congratulated all involved and said the ‘coffee and a chat’ morning was a great way to meet the locals.
“It is wonderful to share a coffee with a cop, as it is a great way for police to interact with the community in a non-operational way and to just say ‘hello’,” he said.
“This was a great joint operation by all parties who joined at Drakes to introduce themselves to local residents.”
