AN EIGHT race program kept the crowd cheering at the annual Labour Day Pace at the Marburg racetrack.
The Marburg Pacing Association had arranged the full program on track as well as lots of activities on the grounds including a free inflatable obstacle course, competitive bets on horse favourites, cold drinks at the bar, bidding for funny money prizes and food that was served hot from the canteen.
Betting tips were presented to all race goers from race experts, Anthony Collins, Ben Crosby and Denis Smith, assisting punters with more than one win on the day.
A special birthday celebration took place track side for Josh Whitaker who turned four. Surrounded by family and friends he enjoyed a game of pass the parcel, bubble blowing and the highlight of blowing out the candles on his dinosaur themed cake.
Marburg Pacing Association President Scott Neaves congratulated the race winners after each race, stopping in for a quick interview on the track to find out how the race panned out for them.
“Congratulations to all of the winners and entries on the day and thank you for coming out to Marburg to compete,” he said.
“I also want to acknowledge all of our supporters and volunteers who continue to make our race days a great success and I hope everyone has enjoyed their day here in Marburg.”
