Members of Lions Clubs within the Zone 11 region met at the Rosewood Bowls Club last week for their annual Zone dinner and meeting.
The clubs involved in the meeting were from Rosewood, Boonah, Fassifern, Harrisville and Beaudesert.
Rosewood Lion and Zone Chairman, Christine Forrest, chaired the get together.
Discussions revolved around the Club activities across the Zone and plans for the future.
“It is always our aim to promote unity within our clubs and to share ideas about club operations, fundraisers and activities,” she said.
“This meeting provided us with an opportunity to do this and it was great to catch up on what has been happening so far during the year in different clubs and areas.”
During the dinner, Nigel Fotheringham, the guestspeaker and Angel Flight pilot, gave an outline of his work.
“Throughout the year, the Rosewood Lions have assisted families through crisis, the February flood event and they have made numerous donations to local clubs, organisations and groups, their moto to Serve Community, stands strong,” Mrs Forrest said.
