THE Rosewood Show Society are calling for nominations for the Rosewood Showgirl and Rural Ambassador categories in this year’s Rosewood Show Ball.
Show Secretary Kate Hillan said the Ball was the lead up to the main Show.
“It is a great night out as families are served a lovely meal in a friendly atmosphere and can dance to a mix of old time and new vogue dances,” Kate said.
“This is a really exciting time for Rosewood, as we once again welcome everyone to two of the biggest annual events that Rosewood hosts.”
The Showgirl and Rural Ambassador categories are very important categories for the nominees and for the Show Society.
“Last year, Emily Carlson was crowned as the 2021 Showgirl, and she went on to assist our committee at the show and competed in the regional final,” Kate said.
“It is a great chance to represent the local community, while dressing up and having fun.
“Families travel from far and wide to compete in all categories on the night, such as, Tiny Tots, Junior Prince and Princess, Show Princess, Best Dressed Prince, Show Queen, Best Dressed Male, Junior Matron, Senior Matron, Country Life Showgirl and Rural Ambassador.
“The Showgirl will represent Rosewood at a Regionallevel and if successful, they will continue onto the State level at the Royal Brisbane Show.”
The Rosewood Show Society welcome all families to come along to the Ball for a great night out.
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up to enjoy their night on the dance floor, dancing to the music of the ‘Let’s Dance Band’.
