PIECES from the past will be “brought back to life” when their stories are shared in the Old Collectables section at this year’s Rosewood Show.
Section Steward Denis Lobwein said his section attracted so much talk and interest which was all based around interesting facts and history.
“Just by looking around your home you may come across something that holds an interesting past, it is a section that everyone can enter,” he said.
“In past years we have seen record players, music collections, books, jewellery, tools, sewing machines and many other relics that are at least 60 years old.”
Lovers of antiques can be prepared to see many treasures including brooches, necklaces, bracelets and rings or if your fascination is with Militaria, in past shows there has been military items on display.
“If it holds a story then it is worth sharing, and we are always looking for new entries and new items to put on to display.
“In this section, you will discover beautiful pieces, many that have been hand crafted, made with such attention to detail and care, this is what makes them a one of a kind and very interesting.
“It is a section that sparks conversation where the older generations share stories with the young ones, creating a welcoming and friendly environment where everyone can join in the conversation,” he said.
