“We could not have asked for more” – Rosewood Show success

THE Rosewood Show captured the best of the best in award-winning agriculture, horticulture, produce and entertainment on Saturday.

The long standing country Show attracted hundreds of families through the gate, to be part of what was described by Rosewood Show Society President Craig Christensen as a “huge success”.

“From dawn to dark the crowds were impressive, and from what the society has been through over the past few years with the pandemic we could not have asked for more,” he said.

“It has been a very enjoyable time this year.

“All of our volunteers have been very keen to bring the Show back and it was great to see the community come together to support that.

“We had a great number of entries in all sections of the Show, which gives people of all ages a chance to be part of the heart of what makes a Show so successful.”

Craig said the Show had been part of his life since childhood as he followed in the family’s Showing tradition.

“It is an important event in my life and I am honoured to be a part of it.

“All of the hard work, commitment and the continued support that we receive from our volunteers and our sponsors is very much appreciated and I would like to give a huge thank you to everyone.

“Overall, we witnessed families that were full of smiles and laughs as they enjoyed all of the entertainment that was on offer, both inside and out in what could not have been more perfect weather.”

He added that after a record-breaking crowd at the Show last year for the rodeo, the society knew that this year it would once again draw a big crowd.

“Once the sun started to set on the Friday, we prepared for another very busy rodeo and it did not let us down as families lined up to be part of the action-packed event,” he said.

“The food was great, the coffee was hot, the music entertained and the action from the rodeo ring was very impressive – thank you to all who came along it sure was a great night.

“Country Shows are an important event for the community, for the competitors and for all of the entrants into the Show and we look forward to seeing everyone come together again at next year’s Rosewood Show.”
