MEMBERS of the Country Women’s Association met at the Rosewood CWA Hall for the annual general meeting to welcome the new office bearers for the coming year.
The new executive are President Fiona Wood, Vice Presidents Janelle Cole and Shirley Branch, Secretary Sandra Law, Treasurer Gayle Benson, International Officer Gaylene Stack and Marketing and Publicity Officer Nelly Haly.
Ms Haly said that despite uncertainties to do with Covid, the members have been faced with over the past few years, the CWA had plans to bring back community spirit.
“We are a group of like-minded ladies who enjoy coming together to share stories and our interests in art, crafts and hobbies,” she said.
“Each month we do open our doors to share some of our creations and to teach others how to be creative – sometimes families just drop in for a cuppa and a chat.
“We are always laughing and having fun, and we support each other through whatever we may be facing. The friendship is really great and we look forward to what this year will bring.”
