RUN DOWN walls and hidden features of the Rosewood Hotel have now been rejuvenated with a fresh coat of paint in the first stage of the restorations of the historic building.
Professional painter Brad Tratt has been working inside and outside the building for the past few weeks.
He said that he has thoroughly enjoyed the whole project.
“I do enjoy working on the old historic buildings because they have so much character and the features are interesting,” he said.
“The Rosewood Hotel in particular has big beautiful windows on the lower level that now stand out just from a fresh coat of paint, and the features above the doorways are now a real stand out.
“The original paint was a green colour, the colours now are creams, greys and whites, resulting in the whole inside area looking like a totally new space.”
The next step will be the repainting of the staircase which will be the feature patrons see as they enter the hotel.
