In court
On July 31, Rosewood Police went to a Minden address after receiving reports of a man threatening another man with a handgun.
More Police from Lowood, Goodna and the Ipswich Tactical Crime Squad also attended and a 76-year-old man was taken into custody.
Police found and seized a handgun and a replica handgun and the man was transported to the Ipswich Watchhouse where he was charged to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on August 26.
Vaping
Rosewood Police have been made aware of an increasing number of people under the age of 18 years who have begun vaping. Police are reminding young people and their parents that vaping is unlawful for anyone under the age of 18 years and carries heavy penalties.
The penalty for anyone vaping at school is an on-the-spot fine of $287.50 and any seller of vape products caught selling to a person under the age of 18 years facing fines of up to $60,375.
