The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable
The speech of a good man is a breath of pleasure
When we speak the right words
They are a real treasure!
Words can tear down, words can build.
Words can wound, or words can heal.
We have tremendous power for good or evil,
In the words that we use,
To determine how others feel.
Evaluate your own speech,
How often, do you speak words that pierce,
And wound like weapons?
Think, before you speak,
Because on what you say, much depends!
The world is filled with scoffers and mockers,
This corrosive attitude is a curse in our modern age.
Something, we see daily on the world stage.
Sometimes, the right word is spoken at the right time,
Right words that can inspire and encourage.
Words pure and filled with wisdom.
Something that is needed by everyone.
By contrast, words can be full of iniquity and deceit,
At times, being bitter and full of hatred.
Words, that should never have been said!
We must respect, and watch our tongue,
This applies to everyone!
