THE Rosewood Bowls Club is one of eight organisations which shared in $68,000 of grants through the Ipswich City Council’s Community Projects Funding Program.
The club received more than $13,200 to fund upgrades and improvements to the clubhouse kitchen.
Club President Terry Hobden said members were grateful for the success of the application.
“As a club we often host many events and club days where the kitchen is used to prepare food and drink for our members and visitors,” he said.
“The kitchen is in need of an upgrade and new appliances, and this money will come in very handy to be able to undertake this.
“We will purchase a new dishwasher, a stove and a deep fryer to make it a lot easier for our kitchen volunteers to be able to prepare fresh food and an array of different food options.
“This funding has made a significant positive impact to our club and to our kitchen which is a busy area that is well used throughout the year.”
