Three decades of service recognised at Kindy

FAMILIES and staff from the Rosewood and District Community Kindergarten took part in a special morning tea presentation to Debbie Brown who has been an educator at the centre for 30 years.

Debbie started work at the kindergarten in 1992.

While saying she was grateful for the presentation and gifts last week, Debbie said she was overwhelmed and found it difficult to express her feelings in words.

“Over the years I have been involved in many community events and have made many connections, and I want to thank everybody who has supported the kindy and the children,” she said.

“I have seen generations of families come through the kindy and it is always nice keeping in touch with everyone.

“We have a special photo album containing class photos of each year where special memories have been captured.

“I often look back at this album and reminisce on these times.”

Debbie is not the only member of her family who has been involved in the kindergarten.

“It has been a family affair for myself with my husband Wayne, who has supported me and who has assisted with the maintenance at the kindergarten.”

Debbie received an abundance of well wishes and thanks at the presentation … “for her outstanding commitment and service to the kindergarten and all of the families”.
