Cooper awarded inaugural Sel Heit bursary

ROSEWOOD State School Year 6 student, Cooper Gregg, has been selected as the winner of the Sel Heit Bursary.

The presentation was made at an evening event at the Rosewood State School Hall.

Cooper was presented with a certificate, a koala and his parents, Ben and Sandra Gregg, received a $250 cheque that will go towards Coopers high school expenses at Rosewood next year.

Lions Zone Chairman Christine Forrest said that it was great to see fellow Lions members and Principal Georgia O’Shea in attendance on the night.

“Thank you to Principal Georgia for coming along and introducing Cooper and his family to the Lions, and thank you to Coopers teacher who assisted in selecting Cooper for this award,” she said.

After the presentation everyone enjoyed supper and a chat and the Rosewood Lions congratulated Cooper as they wished him well into the future.
