THE Rosewood Amateur Fishing Club recently celebrated the end of their fishing year with a presentation night at the Rising Sun Hotel.
Club member Judy Litfin said that a mouth-watering seafood banquet, an array of meats and a selection of salad was enjoyed by all.
“The meal was followed by a presentation of trophies and gifts to the 2022 competition winners.” she said.
“In the Junior competition, Arielle Bazzo was the overall club champion, with Alisha Harris runner up overall.
“Fresh Water Junior Champion went to Arielle Bazzo, with her sister Holly achieving runner up, the salt water champion was claimed by Alisha Harris, with Riley Buhmann as runner up.”

• Arielle Bazzo with a Jew that weighed 1.97 kilograms
• Jennifer Holcombe with a 2.92kg Yellow Belly
• Alisha Harris with a 0.455kg Bream
• Cooper Buhmann with a 0.355kg Flathead.
Senior Competition
• Overall Club Champion and Fresh Water Senior Champion – Daren Henderson with Judy Litfin finishing as the Runner Up Overall.
• Salt Water Senior Champion was Daren Henderson with Terry Sheppard claiming runner up.
Heaviest Fish Senior Awards
• Jamie Harris with a 0.835kg Bass
• Grace Strange with a 2.14kg Jewfish
• Judy Litfin with a 1.84kg Yellowbelly
• Russell Draheim with a 3.88kg Carp.
• Donna Henderson with a 0.9kg Luderick.
• Terry Sheppard with a 0.88kg Bream.
• Jamie Harris with a 0.415kg Tailor.
• Donna Henderson with a 0.31kg Whiting.
• Ken Slater with a 0.955kg Flathead.
• Cheryl Draheim with a 0.78kg Catfish.
Judy said the club was pleased to welcome 12 new senior and three new junior members.
“The members are keen to kick off the competition again next year where once again it will be ‘war on the water’.”
