What’s the point in wishing and hoping,
Sitting there feeling sad, and moping?
Pick yourself up, put a smile on your face.
And get yourself out of the place!
Grab your rod and line instead,
Let’s go fishing!
We can be positive instead of just wishing.
What if we don’t catch anything?
Who cares?
We can take time to think,
Be happy and sing!
Anyway, if we don’t catch any fish,
We can always buy some at the corner store,
They will have fish and chips and much more!
You are right, you know,
Get in the car and let’s go!
A day on the water can do wonders for one’s health,
It helps to forget your troubles,
And, get in touch, with your inner self.
When we get home,
We can always talk about the one that got away,
Reminiscing about having a wonderful day.
We had better buy some fish at the corner store,
With chips and lemon, and coleslaw.
