A NEW cement slab is now complete at the Rosewood Lions Clubs shed as a result of the Rosewood Lions Club winning a $3,400 grant from the Inland Rail Community Sponsorship and Donations Program
Past President of the Club, Dennis Kenyon said the grant was “invaluable”.
“It has provided the Lions Club with the opportunity to lay a concrete apron along the front of the Lions shed, which is located at the Rosewood showgrounds,” he said.
“This has provided safe access to the shed for our members and also to members of the public when working on Lions projects and when providing social functions.
“The Lions club has a strong commitment to community involvement and receives requests for assistance from a wide spectrum of local organisations including schools and community support groups.
“Without organisations such as the Inland Rail, we could not achieve the success such as we do, and our members are sincerely grateful as we look forward to another successful year.”
