In court:
On July 31, Rosewood Police and the Laidley Child Protection Investigation Unit executed a search warrant at a Rosewood address in relation to a series of thefts and drug related offences. As a result of the warrant Police located a stolen trailer, stolen registration plates and drug related property. A 41-year-old Rosewood man was charged with 74 property crime and driving charges, 3 further male persons were charged with drug and drug utensil possession and a female person was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
On August 7, Rosewood Police arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male person who was wanted for a series of assaults and robberies which had occurred at the Rosewood High School and other places. The juvenile person was dealt with by Detectives from the Ipswich Child Protection and Investigation Unit in accordance with the Youth Justice Act.
On August 6, Rosewood Police responded to a report of a hit and run traffic crash which had occurred on Mill Street, Rosewood. Upon arrival Police observed that two parked vehicles had been struck and extensively damaged, the offending vehicle was no longer on site. Police investigated the matter and located the offending vehicle and driver in a Rosewood Street. The driver was subsequently issued with $1602.00 dollar’s worth of infringement notices and lost 3 demerit points.
