A Melbourne man has walked from his home to Brisbane to raise awareness of Jab Injuries Australia, a community organisation recording official vaccine injury stories.
Matthew Lawson passed through Rosewood on his 1,600km walk on September 7.
He left Melbourne on July 17.
Matthew said that along the way he reflected on many stories
Two of those stories were that of Natalie Boyce and Caitlin Gotze.
“Natalie, 21, died in 2022 from heart failure five weeks after receiving the Moderna booster and Caitlin, 23, died from cardiac arrest in 2021 after her second Pfizer injection,” he said.
“The families of the young ladies expressed their devastation to me and described the ladies as young, fit and healthy, who both had the vaccinations to keep their jobs, resulting in them losing their lives.
“My inspiration for the walk was that I felt that I needed to share my views about the Covid 19 lockdowns, and the vaccine processes that then followed.”
Matthew said the support he received during his long walk, “blew him away”, with families opening their homes to him and his small support crew every night for much needed rest and physical care.
He returned to his Melbourne home on September 13.
“The first couple of days after returning home, my feet were really sore, so I am really taking time to rest while also regaining my health,” he said.
“My body was in a little bit of shock from the experience.
“We all know the pressures that we faced in regard to receiving the jab, as a result there have been many injuries and families are still suffering.”
With a main message of, ‘No one should be left behind’, at the forefront, Matthews also reflected on the diverse beauty that Australia has to offer, from butterflies to cattle in open paddocks.
It’s a beauty that helped inspire him to just keep walking.
