Rosewood club celebrates soccer feats

THE Rosewood United Crusaders celebrated the soccer club’s under-11 premiership success as part of its recent awards presentation.

The under-11 boys team excelled in every Queensland Christian Soccer Association match this season, displaying fine teamwork.

“The team has come a long way,” under-11 coach Tori-Lee Ross said.

“This is their first year on the full-sized field and for many of them it is their first year playing soccer.

“In my eyes they are champions with the level of sportsmanship I saw each and every game.”

Dedicated club president Tammy Crawford was delighted with the under-11 team’s performance and other amazing results. That included successfully hosting a recent Country Carnival at the club’s Thagoona fields.

“Rosewood is a family club and we all pitch in as a community,” Crawford said.

“Next year we are growing and delivering even more with an over 30’s team, an all-girls under-14 team and we are investing in an under-17’s developmental team.”

Rosewood had two teams qualify for this season’s preliminary finals and a new senior women’s side kicking off.

The country club’s achievements were recognised at the recent awards presentation with a fun community day for families.
